Project Intern – Taunton High School & Bristol County Agricultural High School
Project Intern is available for juniors and seniors who wish to experience the workplace culture of their chosen career major prior to entering college or the workforce. The program is three to ten weeks in duration. During that time students report to the business site for two hours per day, four days weekly. They report back to the career major class weekly to confer with their teacher and describe weekly activities to their classmates. Through this process, a link is formed between the lessons learned in the classroom and the work-based experiences. All students are asked to create a final project by working with their teacher and workplace supervisor. Project Intern shows how applied learning can go hand in hand with academic training. At the end of their internships, they are invited to present their completed projects at Project Intern’s Recognition Reception.
For more information or to host an intern from Bristol Aggie contact the Project Coordinator, from Taunton High School contact TASC Career Specialist.
