This unique program was designed to assist local residents,
(with an emphasis on students ages 14-17), in obtaining summer employment
within the greater Taunton area.
During the program's initial year of operation in 2002, a
total of 11 successful summer employment hires for the month of June, July &
August were obtained, drawing from a pool of 47 interested applicants.
Our goal this year is to vastly increase the number of placements of student
applicants by obtaining a diverse variety of available job positions,
(particularly for the harder to place 14 - 15 year old age group), this school year.
Program information packets and applicant application forms
will be distributed to area schools, beginning in the month of April 2003, in
an effort to assist students interested in obtaining summer employment.
