Job Readiness Training Workshops – 10th / 11th / 12th grades

TASC provides job readiness training for students in grades 10-12. Presentations are done for a variety of curriculum subjects. Students are taught the following: how to job search, write a resume, cover letter, and thank you letter, interviewing skills, how to dress for success and work ethics. The students are provided with packets of information, watch videos, work with inter-active tools on the internet and participate in role- playing. At times professionals from the business community are asked to come in and speak as well to give the students a different perspective from the teacher’s. Job readiness training is important because it is the first step in preparing students for the world of work. This program prepares students to meet future needs of all industries. Our goal is to improve work skills of entry-level employees.
