Co-Op – Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School

The Cooperative Education Program is designed to develop partnerships between industry and technical education to enhance the employability skills of high school students. The program is an extension of a student’s curriculum which combines academic and technical instructions with employment. The employment is a supervised, on the job experience in a trade specific industrial setting.

Students must complete a thorough screening to qualify for the Cooperative Education Program. After the student has approval from the instructor and has completed 1,000 hours of shop experience, the student is available for employment on an alternate weekly basis. Although this is a school specific program implemented by Bristol-Plymouth, TASC plays a role in the monitoring of work competencies through the use of the MA Work Based Learning Plan.
