Project Y.E.S.

Project Y.E.S. (Youth Equipped for Success) focuses on academic remediation and job readiness.  Once known as the summer C.E.T.A. program, Project Y.E.S., a Bristol County Training Consortium (B.C.T.C.) funded program, has been extended to last year round.  The biggest improvements to the program have been the addition of academic remediation and career development.  Instead of just providing employment for youths, Project Y.E.S. provides them with the knowledge and skills they will not only need in school, but throughout their working careers.

The academic component of the program focuses on language skills and mathematics to provide students with added help to pass the MCAS.  The Career Development component of the program is provided by Taunton Area School to Career, Inc. (T.A.S.C.).  Our Career Specialist works with the students once a week to provide them with the skills that are needed in the work world.  These skills include filling out job applications, W-4 and I-9 forms, resume writing, interview techniques and discovering what their skills, abilities, and interests are to help steer them onto the right path for the future.
